Somehow it is already November! How in the heck did that happen?!
What a blurr the past two months have been. Go read about the accident... it was a doozy. The chaotic aftermath has been a tad overwhelming, but hey! At least life seems to be moving forward!
I finally took a vacation and went to the ocean for my husband and my 10th wedding anniversary last month! It was glorious! Cannon Beach has some amazing pet accommodations! The beach was absolutely wonderful! We found two adorable pet boutiques too! Of course, the books store too! And stopped at Powell's in Portland on the way home. I am always reading, needing to learn something new!
Speaking of learning! I am working on my Fear Free certification. As you may know, I am already a certified pet sitter through NAPPS, but I will always continue my education for my clients and myself. I hope to be Fear Free certified by the end of the year!
Christmas is just around the corner! I didn't get to participate in the Fall garage sale at the Skagit Fairgrounds (I'll be back in the Spring), but I am doing two local more holiday themed vendor markets this month! November 15 at Mount Vernon high school! And November 29 at the Cascade Flats event building in Sedro-Woolley.
I am getting all prepared for those! I'll have some fantastic new displays for the booth as well as a couple new products, including a cute little painting kit with plaster ornaments! Check out my Facebook page for details as the dates get closer!

The website is coming along! Let me know what you all think of it so far! I keep finding little information bombs I need to add (like cat only overnight prices and a section for my credentials...)! My review section should be up by the end of November!
I appreciate the feedback I've gotten! Going digital has definitely been a process! If you are a client and reading this, don't worry if you don't know yet... I am sending out texts/notifications a few at a time for updating contact information and policies! I'll get to you soon, I promise! 💗
Starting in January, I will have more actual blog posts. Reviews of what goes in pet first aid kits, pet stores/boutiques to go check out, trials locally to adventure on, magic products we never knew we needed in our lives.... I am sure these life updates have been fun 😅 but I want to build a resource here. A fun but informative read on all pet related topics! Even posts on running a business and hacks I've found along the way.
I wholeheartedly believe that even as a solo worker, I can build a community here (fb, insta and beyond too) that includes pet parents and pet professionals...to come together. Be a resource, a guide for those interested in this work, a beacon in the dark for those who have had unfortunate experiences with a sitter. I want to be a part of and build a community that talks about the hard topics of the job, the amazing clients we have, the pets that become our extended family. I just started my 5th year of business! I am in shock that this incredible life is mine and I get to meet so many amazing pet parents, network with so many unique professionals! Our pet jobs are the wildest! Come along for the journey!
Stay pawsitive!🐾🍂
